Shodoshima Hand-stretched Somen Noodles Made by Family
A quiet mountain village with clear air surrounded by mountains on all sides,
"Senmaida" is one of Japan's leading terraced rice fields, moistened with water that constantly springs up from the mountains.
This is the Nakayama district of Shodoshima Town.
It was in 1969 when we started making somen noodles here.
50 years have passed since this family business, which started with a family of three, repeated trial and error.
While the times are changing rapidly, we are still producing in our family.
